On December 30, 2022, five cosmetic informatization standards, including the "Basic Data Set for Cosmetic Production License Management," were officially released. This marks the first time the National Medical Products Administration has issued standards specifically for cosmetic regulatory informatization, which is of great significance for promoting informatization construction and data sharing in the cosmetic industry under the new regulations.
The five officially released cosmetics informatization standards include "Basic dataset for cosmetics production license management》《Basic data set for filing management of ordinary cosmetics》《Basic data set for registration management of special cosmetics》《Basic Data Elements for Cosmetic Regulatory Information - Part 1: Production Licensing and Registration/Filing》《Cosmetic regulatory information basic data element value domain code Part 1: Production license and registration filing》, covering the classification, summary, data subsets, etc., of the basic data set for related cosmetics regulatory operations, and specifying the value domain codes for basic data elements of cosmetics regulatory information (covering registration, filing, and production licensing). It covers various business links such as the application and approval of cosmetics production licenses and product registration and filing, clarifying the informatization construction standards for related businesses. This is conducive to unifying the information collection standards of the national cosmetics business system and promoting the exchange and integration of relevant data resources among cosmetics regulatory authorities at all levels.
The release of five cosmetic informatization standards, including the "Basic Data Set for Cosmetic Production License Management," has further improved the drug regulatory informatization standard system and filled gaps in the field of cosmetic regulatory informatization standards. These standards serve as the foundation for establishing a unified cosmetic regulatory informatization standard system and achieving integrated construction of cosmetic regulatory informatization.
