Company
Founded in 2016, Baraja is a pioneering startup that invented Spectrum-Scan™ LiDAR, a new model of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology for autonomous vehicles. The company's founders Federico Collarte and Cibby Pulikkaseril revolutionized the autonomous vehicle industry by solving long-standing problems of traditional LiDAR—cost, safety, and scalability—using a simple law of physics (light refraction through a glass prism). They cleverly integrated components from the automotive and telecommunications supply chains, becoming one of the few LiDAR producers worldwide dedicated to strict quality control, reliability, and mass production capabilities.
Baraja currently has offices in Sydney, Shanghai, and Silicon Valley, and plans to establish bases globally.

Odoo's Exponential Growth
The company adopted Odoo as the central engine of its system with two simple goals: improving operational efficiency and gaining a clear and consistent 360-degree view of business processes. Federico and Cibby invested all major resources in Odoo because they highly valued the software's compatibility and flexibility for their unique business model. Baraja powered itself through the Quick Start Success Pack and smoothly systemized its business in just two months using Odoo's integrated applications (Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, PLM, Sales, Invoicing, Accounting, and Studio). With firm determination, the company expanded from 9 employees to 96 employees over the past two years, becoming a success story of exponential growth!

"We chose Odoo because of its open-source principles. One of our values is to build a machine that can manufacture machines. Odoo allows us to add modules as we grow and meet all our needs without having to adopt other software solutions."
Federico Collarte, Co-founder and CEO of Baraja
Building Successful Partnerships
Comprehensive solution
Since Odoo is open-source software, Baraja is able to customize it and solve various business-specific issues. Inventory, procurement, invoicing, and especially manufacturing.
Procurement management is the primary and most critical process for Baraja, as they must frequently purchase multiple types of components to produce and develop their LiDAR models. Thanks to the automation and integration of Odoo's procurement, inventory, and invoicing applications, Baraja's employees are able to spend minimal time on administrative tasks such as scanning, recording, and evaluating inventory, while OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology can convert supplier bills and payments from paper to digital in just seconds.
"Every minute in production matters, and so far, we have been able to save a significant amount of time and costs, which would not have been possible without Odoo."
Liu Huabing, Head of IT Operations Team at Baraja
